Ask 10 people who Jesus is, and you might get 10 different answers. Some say He was a wise teacher. Others believe He was a prophet. Many call Him Savior. But what really matters isn’t just who people say Jesus is—it’s who you say He is.
At Bayside, we believe Jesus is exactly who the Bible says He is: the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the hope of all humanity. Whether you're curious, skeptical, or seeking, we want to walk with you as you discover who Jesus truly is—and what that means for your life.
Yes. This isn’t just a matter of faith—it’s backed by history.
📜 Historians agree
Roman and Jewish sources—like Tacitus and Josephus—confirm that Jesus of Nazareth lived in the first century and was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
📖 Jesus taught and performed miracles
The Gospels describe Him as a teacher who amazed crowds and performed miracles. Even His critics couldn’t deny His influence.
✝️ Jesus was crucified
Jesus’ death on a Roman cross is one of the most well-documented events in ancient history.
But Jesus wasn’t just a historical figure. The Bible reveals who He really is—and why it matters to you.
Let’s go straight to Scripture:
👑 Jesus is the Son of God
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” – John 3:16
He wasn’t just a good man. He was—and is—God in the flesh.
📖 Jesus is the Word made flesh
“In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” – John 1:1, 14
Jesus existed before time, helped create the world, and came to live among us.
🛟 Jesus is our Savior“He will save His people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21
His mission was clear: to rescue us from sin and reconnect us with God.
🤍 Jesus lived without sin“Tempted in every way, just as we are—yet He did not sin.” – Hebrews 4:15
He’s the only one who ever lived a perfect life. That’s why He could pay the price for ours.
It’s a huge question—because everything hinges on it.
🙅He was tempted but never gave in
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted…” – Matthew 4:1-11
Jesus stood firm in every temptation—and stayed sinless.
🩸His perfection made salvation possible
“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us…” – 2 Corinthians 5:21
If Jesus had sinned, He couldn’t have saved us. But He didn’t—and that’s why His sacrifice was enough.
🤝 He understands our struggles
“We do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize… but one who has been tempted…” – Hebrews 4:15
He gets it. He’s walked through pain, temptation, and suffering—and He’s with you in yours.
Short answer: to bring you back to God.
💔 Sin separated us from God
“For all have sinned…” – Romans 3:23
“The wages of sin is death…” – Romans 6:23
We’ve all missed the mark. And sin leads to separation.
✝️ Jesus died to pay our debt“He was pierced for our transgressions… by His wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5
He took the punishment we deserved—and gave us the grace we didn’t.
💖 It was all about love
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
Jesus didn’t wait for us to get it all together. He came for us at our worst.
🌅 He rose again—defeating death
“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile…” – 1 Corinthians 15:17
But the story didn’t end at the cross. Jesus conquered death so we could have eternal life.
You’ve heard the facts. You’ve read the verses. Now the most important question is: What will you do with it?
Here’s how you can respond:
🙏 Recognize your need for Him
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe… you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
Admit you need grace. We all do.
🔄 Repent and turn to God
“Repent… so that your sins may be wiped out.” – Acts 3:19
Repentance isn’t about shame—it’s about change and new life.
🤝 Start a relationship
Following Jesus is more than belief—it’s a daily walk. Spend time with Him. Talk to Him. Surround yourself with others who will encourage your faith.
These verses are worth holding onto:
“I am the way and the truth and the life…” – John 14:6
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” – Colossians 1:15–17
“I am the Alpha and the Omega…” – Revelation 1:8
Jesus is the beginning, the center, and the end. He’s the answer we’re all looking for.
So… who is Jesus?
✅ He’s not just a teacher—He’s the Truth.
✅ He’s not just a man—He’s the Son of God.
✅ He’s not just a story—He’s the Savior of the world.
✅ And He’s not just for “church people”—He’s for you.
