Praise hands

God is always at work behind the scenes

Esther 2:8–9 (NIV): When the king’s order and edict had been proclaimed, many young women were brought to the citadel of Susa and put under the care of Hegai [Hegay]. Esther also was taken to the king’s palace and entrusted to Hegai, who had charge of the harem. 9 She pleased him and won his favor. Immediately he provided her with her beauty treatments and special food. He assigned to her seven female attendants selected from the king’s palace and moved her and her attendants into the best place in the harem.

Esther 2:17 (NIV): Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

Make the most of God Appointed Opportunities

Ephesians 5:15–17 (NLT): So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Zechariah 4:10 (NLT): Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin…

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NLT): The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Blessings are not just for our benefit

Esther 4:13-14 (NLT) Mordecai sent back this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that you will escape there in the palace when all other Jews are killed. {14} If you keep quiet at a time like this…you and your relatives will die. What’s more, who can say but that you have been elevated to the palace for…such a time as this?”

Take A Stand

Esther 4:15–16 (NLT): Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: 16 “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same.

Esther 4:16 “I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Proverbs 16:17 says that when your ways please the Lord He makes even your enemies at peace with you.

Esther 9:22 Their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration.
