Accommodations will vary depending on the specific trip. Some groups may stay in hotels, while others will be based at the organization's base camp. In some cases, accommodations follow more of a camping style, with tents or other temporary setups. The type of lodging typically reflects the nature and location of the trip, as well as the activities involved. More detailed information about accommodations will be provided for each individual itinerary.
Please communicate these in your application. Partners and leaders will do their best to accommodate, though some locations may have limited options.
Safety is a top priority with any of our trips. Trips are planned with local partners who understand the context and risks, and our leadership is always in contact with them in order to ensure the safety of every team. Teams are briefed on health and safety protocols, and travel insurance is provided.
No. Translators are often provided through our partners, and ministry is usually designed to be effective even with language barriers.
Every mission trip has a Christ-centered purpose. Teams often participate in group devotions, prayer, worship, and debriefing to encourage spiritual growth.
Bayside has many connections all over the globe with organizations and churches who are making a difference in the local church. Relationships are a priority for us and guide our investment of time and resources. Some of the ministries we work with may be found on our social media page and others are not public due to security of the individual or the closed society they operate in.
You can sign up here! Spots may be limited, so we encourage early registration and participation in team meetings and training.
We require background checks for all mission trip participants to help ensure the safety and well-being of the communities we serve, as well as our team members. This is a standard practice for organizations working with vulnerable populations, especially in international and humanitarian settings.
Please be assured that all background check results are strictly confidential. They are reviewed only by designated leadership and are not shared with other team members or outside parties.
