Bayside’s Young Leader Experience, YLX, a two-year program, will prepare students for their collegiate experience. This program teaches students practical life skills, develops them into leaders, helps them grow spiritually, and enables them to participate in a community of like-minded peers. Students graduating from this program will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as leaders in today’s dynamic and changing environment.
Apply NowThrough weekly participation in Spiritual Formation, students will gain insight into who they are in God’s eyes, the freedom they have to live out their calling, and how to integrate their faith into each area of their lives. This course runs the full 16 weeks of the semester.
Weekly Chapel is focused on growing students as Christ-Centered leaders. During this time, Pastors and Ministry Directors from Bayside Community Church invest in our Students and challenge them to expand their Christian worldview.
Students work together to grow in leadership, tackle challenges, and serve the community. They’ll build relationships, navigate team dynamics, and solve complex problems together throughout the full 16-week semester.
Students engage weekly in hands-on learning around leadership and life skills—from conflict resolution to budgeting, car maintenance, resume building, and leading when not in charge. This course runs the full 16 weeks.
