The greatest revelation isn't simply that God is Almighty… it's that the Almighty has chosen to be our Father.

What you believe about God eventually determines how you live before God.

APOSTLE’S CREED:

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

THE THREE PILLARS:

GOD IS ABOVE US. He is Almighty.

GOD MADE US. He is Creator.

GOD IS FOR US. He is Father.

  1. THE FATHER IS BIGGER THAN YOU THINK

KEY TRUTH:

The size of your worship is connected to the size of your revelation of God.

Genesis 1:1 NIV - “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

  • He is: OMNIPOTENT - All-Powerful.

Matthew 19:26 NLT - Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

  • He is: OMNISCIENT - All-Knowing.

Psalm 147:5 NLT - How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!

  • He is: OMNIPRESENT - Everywhere Present.

Psalm 139:7 NLT - I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!

  1. THE FATHER IS BETTER THAN YOU THINK

KEY TRUTH:

Your earthly father isn't the blueprint for God. God is the blueprint for fatherhood.

Exodus 34:6 NLT - The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.

Luke 15:20 NLT - “So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

  1. THE FATHER CARES MORE THAN YOU THINK

KEY TRUTH:

If God is your Father, you don't have to live like everything depends on you.

Matthew 6:11 NIV - Give us today our daily bread.

Matthew 6:26 NLT - "Look at the birds. They do not plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And are not you far more valuable to him than they are?"

Trust is believing that the Father's heart is good even when His hand is hard to understand.

THE FATHER TEACHES US TO WAIT

Isaiah 40:31 NKJV - But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

.

  • What God does IN you while you wait can be as important as what you are waiting FOR.

  1. THE FATHER IS CLOSER THAN YOU THINK

KEY TRUTH:

You aren't a slave trying to get God's attention; you're a child who has been brought into His family.

When I forget who my Father is, I start carrying things that belong to Him.

THE FATHER ALSO CORRECTS

Hebrews 12:6 NLT - "For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child."

YOU HAVE BEEN ADOPTED

Romans 8:15-17 NLT15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” 16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

John 1:12 NLT - But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.

The greatest revelation is not simply that God is Almighty... it is that the Almighty has chosen to be our Father.
