Praise hands

Mark 16:15–18 (NLT): “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

John 8:36 (NIV): “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

ABC’s of Freedom

Luke 5:27–32 (NIV): After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. 29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

A—Admit I need help

Proverbs 28:13 (LB): A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance.

Genesis 3:12-13 (NLT): “’Yes,’ Adam admitted, ‘but it was the woman you gave me who brought me the fruit, and I ate it.’ Then the Lord God asked the woman, ‘How could you do such a thing?’ ‘The serpent tricked me,’ she replied. ‘That’s why I ate it.’”

John 11:21 (NLT): Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”

B—Be ready for God’s help

C—Commit to God’s Word

John 8:31–32 (NIV): Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT): All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people…

Drop some old things

John 12:24–26 (NIV): “Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who [loses] their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me..."
