The Ministry of Reconciliation
The Message of Reconciliation
Romans 5:11 (NIV)
“Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we
have now received reconciliation.”
The Mission to be an Ambassador for Christ
John 17:16,18,20 (NLT)
(16) “They do not belong to this world any more than I do… (18) Just as you sent me into the
world, I am sending them into the world… (20) “I am praying not only for these disciples but also
for all who will ever believe in me through their message.”
1. Represent Christ Well
1 Timothy 4:12 (NLT)
“… Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith,
and your purity.”
2. Make Sharing Jesus a Priority
Acts 8:29-31, 35 (NLT)
“The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”” Philip ran over
and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you
are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” And he urged Philip
to come up into the carriage and sit with him.”… “So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip
told him the Good News about Jesus.”
Acts 1:8 (NLT)
“…And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…
3. Invite Someone to Church
John 1:45-46 NLT
“Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the
prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”
“Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?”
“Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied…
John 1:49 (NLT)
Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!””
